🚌 Free care-A-van Rides Coming May 1

Oakville Transit
Great news for Oakville residents! Starting May 1, Oakville Transit’s care-A-van service will be completely free for all registered adult users with a PRESTO card. This move, part of the 2025 town budget, aims to make getting around easier for people with disabilities.
Care-A-van is a door-to-door service for anyone who can’t use regular transit due to a physical or functional disability. Booking a ride is simple, just use the On Demand app, go online, or call in. All trips must be booked ahead, and riders need to tap their PRESTO card to travel free.
To unlock free rides, users must update their PRESTO card’s fare setting with a voucher code from Oakville Transit. This can be done online or in person at Town Hall or the Oakville Transit facility. Need a PRESTO card? Grab one from the app or any Shoppers Drug Mart.
