🎉 Halton International Women’s Day Celebration Supports Local and Global Causes

The Women of Halton Action Movement (WHAM) will host its 22nd annual International Women’s Day Dinner Party on March 5 at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre. The event will feature keynote speaker Nicole Rakowski, an entrepreneur who overcame a life-altering accident in 2017 to achieve success.

The dinner will also raise funds for SAVIS of Halton, which provides free and confidential support to survivors of sexual violence, and Right to Learn Afghanistan, a charity advocating for education for Afghan women and girls. Since its inception, the annual event has raised more than $630,000 for these important causes.

Organizers say the event unites women in the community to celebrate progress in gender equality while recognizing ongoing challenges. The evening includes dinner, entertainment, a 50-50 draw, and a silent auction. Tickets are $95 per person, and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
