🛠️ Rona Shuffling Stores in Oakville

Rona is set to close its Royal Windsor Drive location on May 8 as part of a local consolidation. The company confirmed the move, saying, “We will be consolidating our Oakville operations” into the newly acquired store at 399 Speers Road.
So if you pull into the Royal Windsor lot next month and wonder where everything went, don’t worry—it’s just moved down the road. In the meantime, Home Depot will have to suffice.
🌼 Anna Olson Draws Crowd at Oakville Home Show

The Oakville Spring Home & Garden Show brought big crowds to the Glen Abbey Community Centre this weekend, with a special appearance by Food Network chef Anna Olson. She wowed fans with baking demos and a cookbook signing on Saturday, April 12.
Running April 11 to 13, the show featured local businesses like Burloak Landscaping, ShelfGenie of South Halton, and Oakville Windows and Doors. “You're going to see a lot of companies that are based here in Oakville or nearby,” said organizer Matt Jenkins.
In case you missed the action, don’t worry—a second show is coming to Burlington from April 25 to 27.

🏛️ Celebrate Museum Month with Oakville Museum

May is Museum Month across Ontario, and Oakville Museum is marking the occasion with a month full of unique events and exhibits. From cricket history at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex to elegant afternoon teas and Japanese tea ceremonies, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Highlights include The Art of Afternoon Tea on May 3, Spring Tea Tour and Treat on May 10, and the Victorian-inspired cocktail night The Spirited Garden on May 23. Kids can join the Hunting for History scavenger hunt during regular museum hours, while The Way of Tea on May 31 offers an immersive Japanese tea ceremony experience.
With Mayor Rob Burton officially proclaiming May as Museum Month, it’s the perfect time to explore local history in fresh, interactive ways.
🛍️ Call for Vendors: Makers Market at Joshua Farm

Calling all local makers, crafters, and creative minds! The Makers Market at Joshua Farm Gallery is happening on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and vendor spots are now open. Whether you create jewelry, pottery, art, home décor, or natural products, this is your chance to showcase your talent at a lively, community event.
Spots are just $25 and space is limited, so don’t wait—apply by May 4. Vendors are also invited to donate a small item for a raffle to help highlight their work and spread the local love. Share this with your artist friends!
