On Sunday, families can enjoy Kerrfest Kids with market shopping, musical characters, and entertainment for all ages.

This year’s music lineup blends Canadian rock icons, Celtic tunes, and country charm. 🎵 Bandology Hosts Band Camp For Grades 1-12

Bandology’s summer Band Camp is coming to Oakville from July 21 to 25, inviting kids in Grades 1 to 12 to dive into music, try new instruments, and connect with fellow young musicians. Held at King’s Christian Collegiate, the camp offers everything from beginner-friendly activities to full concert band sessions, all led by experienced instructors in a fun and welcoming environment. No prior experience is needed, and families facing financial barriers can access up to 90% in subsidies, along with free instrument loans. With hands-on learning and a final performance to cap off the week, it’s a great way to build skills, confidence, and community through music.

🏫 JKCS Celebrates 65 Years with Major Expansion

Ramona Leitao | Oakville News

John Knox Christian School celebrated its 65th anniversary on June 7 with the unveiling of a major expansion at its Oakville campus. The project adds a second gymnasium, four new classrooms for Grades 7 and 8, dedicated music, art, and science rooms, two libraries, and upgraded change rooms and washrooms. Principal George Petrusma called the new space a “ripple effect” that will benefit the entire school community, with plans for future growth already being considered.

Founded in 1959 with just 44 students in a church basement, JKCS has grown to nearly 400 students today. The expansion increases capacity to 428 students and reflects the school's continued development and long-standing presence in Oakville.

🦴 Pet Spotlight: Meet Frosty!

He’s still learning the ropes of indoor life after being an outdoor dog, so he’s looking for a calm, adult-only home with a secure yard and someone experienced with shy pups.
