🎆 Oakville Considers Full Fireworks Ban
Oakville may soon ban the sale and use of consumer fireworks all year. Town Council will vote on the proposal this Monday. Right now, fireworks are only allowed on certain holidays or for religious and cultural events. If the new bylaw passes, anyone caught using or selling fireworks without a permit could face a $300 fine. The town says the move comes after concerns about noise, safety, and the environment, and most public feedback so far has been in support.
